On Thursday, September 19, Eldred JSHS held their annual Open House. Thank you to everyone who came out. A special shoutout to Mrs. Galvin-Bliefernich and her students who provided all kinds of different snacks and hor d'oeuvres for the evening. There was plenty to go around.

Congratulations to the girls varsity soccer team for their 2-1 Win in over time against Chapel! Victoria Ryman had a an assist and a goal in the 77th min to force ot. Avery Moscatiello had an assist and the game winning goal at the 6 min mark in the first ot period . Goalie Ally Gavin-Bliefernich had 5 saves on 6 shots.

Welcome back to another school year! We hope the first two weeks of school have gone well. Eldred's PTSA is excited and ready to kick off our annual membership drive! Becoming a member is easy...just visit https://eldredptsa.memberhub.com/store. Individual memberships are $20 and additional family members/students are only $4. We would love to get as many families and faculty as possible to join this year! The purpose of a PTSA is to bring together families, students, teachers, school administrators, and local business and community leaders who are devoted to the education success of children and the promotion of parent involvement in schools. One of our main goals is to support learning and social-emotional development by providing diverse, innovative, and educational opportunities to the students in the JSHS. Our first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 24th at 6:00 PM. We will be meeting in the Library of the JSHS. We hope to see you there! Can't make the meeting but still want to help out? The Junior Senior High School held their annual Club Fair for all students today. Students got to walk around the gym and cafeteria hallway to check out all the clubs JSHS has to offer, and join them if interested. The Club Fair will also remain up for our Open House tonight that begins at 6:00pm.

Sullivan BOCES is hosting an educator information session to discuss the future of high school graduation measures in New York State. The educators' session will take place on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sullivan BOCES Office & Conference Center, located at 15 Sullivan Ave., Liberty. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in small group discussions, provide valuable feedback, and help shape the future of education in New York State. Topics of discussion will include expanding learning experiences, redefining credit requirements, offering multiple means for demonstrating proficiency, and more.

This planning session will start at 5:30 pm at George Ross Mackenzie Library. The Strategic Plan will outline the community and district's vision for the next 5 years. Refreshments will be served for the meeting.
