The following American Red Cross Courses will be Offered by the Sullivan County Parks, Recreation & Beautification Department at the Fallsburg Jr/Sr High School with some online requirements: - Lifeguard Certification ($350 Sullivan County Residents ): May 20, 21, 22, 23 3:30-9:00pm June 3, 5, 10, 12 3:30-9:00pm June 17, 18, 20, 21 3:30-9:00pm * Must be 15 years old by the last day of the course. - Lifeguard Recertification ($175 Sullivan County Residents): May 29, 30 3:30-9:00pm June 6, 7 3:30-9:00pm June 13, 14 3:30-9:00pm - CPRO Recertification ($100 Sullivan County Residents): May 30 3:30-6:30pm June 7 3:30-6:30pm June 14 3:30-6:30pm Specific course requirement information is on the website: https://sullivanny.us/Departments/ParksRecreation Register at the Parks & Recreation Department in the Monticello Government Center or online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SCPARKS-LGCOURSES2024. Nesin Cultural Arts is participating in the annual Hudson Valley Gives Day, today. Any Donations made will give opportunities for NCA. NCA provides programs in music, dance, visual arts and theatre to children in Sullivan County. NCA also supports the Sullivan County Chamber Orchestra (SCCO) which is a professional orchestra that provides concerts and education to students through NCA. The Interact Club spent some time picking up litter from Route 55 near the school on Thursday. The club is a service-oriented club and strives to make a positive difference in our community and in our world.

Due to field conditions we will have to postpone the varsity game at Eldred vs Chapel Field to another day . Details will be determined we will honor our seniors at that game .

Let's get loud and Cheer on our seniors for Baseball and Track. We also have the Softball team playing Livingston Manor at Manor for playoffs. Baseball will be home against Chapel Field . Track and Field will be taking on Port and Liberty in a dual meet tonight. Go Yellowjackets!

Attention Seniors and Parents: On May 16th between 5pm and 7pm we will have our ONE STOP MAY SCCC NIGHT. Sullivan County Community College will be here to help with Financial Aid, and any questions you may have. They will also be working with the kids to register for classes for the upcoming Fall 2024 semester. It's a great, local way to get it all done without having to fight the crowds on registration day at SCCC. We hope to see you all then! Congratulations to Eldred's Autumn Walsh!! Eldred all-state musician named Student of the Week Autumn Walsh of Eldred has been selected as this week's Times Herald-Record Student of the Week. Autumn is a junior who is majoring in music therapy. Autumn was described by those who nominated her as a stellar student who takes honors-level classes and Sullivan County Community College classes. Autumn plays four instruments, has competed at All States Auditions, Marywood Festival and has played in the Hudson Valley Honor Band.
