Starting November 1st, the Eldred CSD will be launching HELPMe application. This application allows students, parents and community members to ask for help. Since COVID-19 we have seen an uptick in mental health stressors and basic needs insecurities just to name two examples. There is no username or password. This application does not capture your data. You can download the application and put in Eldred CSD for your local school district. The application works for both iPhones and Android users.
This platform offers help in 3 ways. There is a link to local, state and national resources. The local resources are tailored for the Sullivan County area. There is a link to immediate 24/7 crisis support. This connects the user directly to trained crisis counselors from the HELPme app. Crisis Text Line provides free, 24/7, high-quality anonymous text-based mental health support and crisis intervention volunteers to support people in their moments of need. And, there is a link for two-way communication with school so our students, families and community members get the help they need. Using the "Ask for Help" button students, parents, and staff can directly connect with school and local-based resources and ask for assistance using STOPit's fully configurable state-of-the-art reporting system. Whether it is for everyday needs such as food, transportation, clothing, shelter, medical, or mental health needs such as bullying, anxiety, or domestic violence, help is only a click away. This application is delivered on a highly configurable mobile platform, HELPme provides support and resources to students, families, and staff using a healing-centered interface.
