September 30th Superintendent Letter to Parents

September 30, 2020

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As you are aware, Eldred has begun its hybrid model with the “A” group attending in person this week (the 28th through the 2nd of Oct). Beginning October 5th, the “B” students will attend in person and the “A” group will attend virtually from home.

When I put this plan forward I informed you that you had the option of all virtual if you felt that you could not send your child to the school building. You have the opportunity to opt for all virtual up until October 9th.

Beginning Tuesday, October 13th no further changes will be made except in very rare circumstances with the approval of the principal. This will assist in transportation and in teacher planning.

Students who are to report in person after October 13th and elect to stay home will be marked absent.

Naturally should we have an active case in one of our buildings, we will follow our plan which may require a 24-hour closure of the building but learning will continue via virtual for that day or two.

I am pleased to report that to date, everything is going well.  I credit you, your child and our teachers for our success.

Sincerely,

John C. Morgano, Ed.D.
